Wondering Lost

OMG...I took my little puppy ...(well he is almost 2 now on August 24), for a walk the other day. Everything seemed fine, until just last night, we were going to go for our usually walk, when little o started to limp down the street. We were only about a block away from home, so I decided to head back home instead. By the time we got back home, I noticed a red dump on his front paw. He spent most of the night licking it, so in the morning I headed to the vet to get it checked out. Turns out its not broken...but he must have gotten into something over the last few days, cause he has a major infection. On meds and pain killers for the next 7 days and I have to soak his foot 3 times a day to help get rid of the infection. Hopefully whatever is in there makes it way out by next week, cause if not he has to go back to the vet to have an operation to remove it. $200.00 later in vet bills, hopefully my little o starts to feel better. Shouldn't have cancelled the pet insurance....

Couldn't sleep at all last night. I hate when my little guys are not feeling well. It has been almost 6 hours since we got back from the vet and he has spent most of the time sleeping in his little bed. I sure hope he starts to feel better. Everyone please keep your fingers crossed that these pills work, I really dont want him to have to go back to the vet...... When it rains ...it pours.

FYI- for you guys out there that have a dog, make sure you are extra carefully when walking your dog in parks and on the street curbs...the tiny little things lying on the ground can be so dangerous for your dogs feet. I have found this out the hard way...you dont always think about it....but better safe then sorry.

Time sure flies during the summer months. I can't believe it is August already. Finally got myself all caught up with work. Maybe I can finally sit back and enjoy the last few days of summer, winter is just around the corner now. Next big project is to paint my fence, not cheap. Might take a good week I figure. I have enlisted some family to help me out with this task..lol.

Well I'm off to take the dogs for a walk before it gets too hot out.
